If that doesn't bring Al Jolson back to life, nothing will.

So, I recall being told about an ARRMO group on FB during my last WCBO meeting last month.  I got the fuck off of FB after about six months due to an overwhelming depression that was brought on by realizing that a very large percentage of the people I know in this life are actually in need of sterilization.  But I guess I could get back on with a new identity and just focus on the truly important things in life, which is interacting with other good Americans, and people who want to be Americans if they know what's good for them.

Someone, guide me.

God bless.

Looks like me and Supernaut are putting the band back together this week in Seattle.  I am doing liver yoga and lining my lungs with magic dust so as to not appear weak during the proceedings.

Prasie Geezer!!!!

Just bought it yesterday.  Driving cross country.  Listened to it twice so far.  Sounds OK, not blowing me over.

Also bought Mastodon's "Crack The Sky."  Holy fuck, heavy metal Jethro Tull.

Greetings from the Tropic Of Grunge.  Good fucking god, this place is strange.  I haven't seen this many failed businesses since I was in Mexico.  And then you throw a bunch of Japanese and Russian tourists into the mix, with 90 degree days and depressed Chinese hookers?  It's a riot, folks.  A depressed, hot, sad, riot.  Can I have another vodka and grapefruit juice?  Vicodan chaser, please.

Anyone who tells you that wrecking a scooter in the rain with a belly full of booze and pain pills isn't eye opening just doesn't know the universe they are living in.

There is ZERO King Diamond here.  ZERO.

Welcome to 1978 / The Best AC/DC Songs That AC/DC Didn't Do
« on: March 10, 2014, 12:11:01 PM »
A good buddy of mine got in touch with me a few weeks back.  He was asking me for AC/DC albums, said his kid who is about nine, had recently discovered AC/DC and was becoming a fan.  While procuring all the full albums I had in one form or another, I started to think "what about all the songs that SOUND like AC/DC?"

Immediately I thought of Rhino Bucket, but also a few Krokus songs.  Any suggestions for inclusion?

I have the Black Star Riders (Scott Gorham's Anorexic Lizzy sans the Sykes) station on Pandora.  I heard a couple of interesting bands so far, but was surprised to hear Steve Harris and his solo band, British Lion.  Didn't have a clue this was even going on.  I guess he toured with these guys last year, in Europe.
